Bita Art Centre: Fostering Creativity and Artistic Growth

Bita Amani is the founder, head instructor, and creative director of Bita's Art Centre. Born and raised in Iran, Bita's passion for art began in her childhood, encouraged by her father, who brought home sheets of paper for her to draw and paint on. She honed her craft under the mentorship of renowned artists and completed a four-year art program at the University of Art in Iran. After moving to Canada in 2001, she enhanced her creative education at OCAD and George Brown College, broadening her artistic expertise.  

Upon arriving in Canada, Bita fully immersed herself in the local art scene, actively engaging in art workshops, exhibitions, and becoming a member of the Richmond Hill Group of Artists. She served as a board member of Arts Richmond Hill and established her own art studio in Richmond Hill, where she has shared her knowledge and skills with students of all ages for over 15 years.  

As an artist and mentor, Bita is devoted to her personal growth and the development of her students. She encourages them to showcase their works in exhibitions, contests, and festivals, where their art is celebrated for its exceptional technique. Her nurturing approach and commitment to teaching have inspired countless students to flourish, bringing their artistic visions to life.  

In addition to her own artistic accomplishments, including participation in various juried and non-juried exhibitions, Bita has made it her mission to foster creativity and confidence in her students through engaging art workshops. She continues to turn her passion for art into a source of inspiration for the next generation of artists.
